Isaiah 64

v. 4- "Since ancient times no one has heard,
no ear has perceived,
no eye has seen any God besides you,
who acts on behalf of those who wait for him."
Over all the years that humans have inhabited this corrupt, beautiful world, there has only been one god that has shown His hand and His face. He has proven to us again and again that there is no other god. We have asked Him for proof and signs of wonder, and He has responded. We have begged Him for second chances and He has granted them. We have pleaded to hear His voice and He has spoken. There is no other. So we need to stop living like there is. We need to cease putting idols in front of our Sovereign Lord! They have done nothing to deserve that place, while our Savior has done everything to deserve first place in our lives!
v.8- "Yet, O LORD, you are our Father.
We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand."
Not only is He our Redeemer and Savior, He is our loving Father. Our relationship with our earthly fathers is so important. They are there to discipline us, love us, and teach us. I know that my relationship with my dad has been getting increasingly better, especially over the past year, and I cannot tell you how much this has impacted me. It means so much to me that he wants to spend time with me and really get to know my heart. That relationship is so important, and so many people are missing out on it. However, we all can have that strong and loving relationship with our Heavenly Father who will never leave us or forsake us. He longs to have a relationship with each of His children. He created us and loves us and is just crying out for us to get up and follow Him. He'll take good care of us and teach us His ways. We can become more like Him if we truly desire that. It is such a beautiful thing and such a blessing! How can we pass up this great calling?
