We have been given the gift of forgiveness, a never-ending love, and eternal life... we need to share this with others! So often, we are too "scared" or "shy" or whatever to share our faith, but that is so selfish! I do that all the time. I make excuses or just try to ignore the suffering and helplessness going on around me. But I know something they don't know. I know the secret to a joyful life full of meaning and worship! Only when we change our mindsets on the people of this world will we be "brave" enough to share our faith with them. They are going to suffer for eternity in Hell and we have the truth that can save them! I know this sounds so cheesy and you've probably heard it a thousand times, but it's mostly just a reminder for myself. I am so bad at just starting up conversations about Jesus with strangers. I pass up and ignore so many chances a day. I make excuses. I'm selfish.
v. 9-10- "The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed; a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, Lord, never forsake those who seek you."
This is so hard for me to believe sometimes, but it's in the Bible so it must be true. God is there for us when we are in need (and even when we aren't, believe it or not!). He wants us to lean on Him. He yearns for us to run to Him. He is faithful when we call to Him. We aren't always going to "feel" Him there or hear from Him, but He will be there. He has laid out His truth in His Word for us. It is His love letter personally to you and me.
